With the case expertly stalled to allow for a change of administration, it was obviously going to be a weak settlement. But I’m not sure people expected it to be this bad. Here’s the killer clause:
The software code that comprises a Windows Operating System Product shall be determined by Microsoft in its sole discretion.
That’s from point (U) in the Definitions section. What it means is that Microsoft calls the shots and that the current US government sanctions illegal monopolies. Good luck, folks!
