Wonderful Sky Tonight

looking southeast on a very clear night

A beautifully clear night allowed for a spectacular show of the moon in Gemini with Jupiter, Saturn and Orion in attendance. Castor and Pollux were expansive hosts. Capella, Aldebaran, Procyon & Sirius set the whole arrangement off. Above is a screenshot I cleaned up from the Starry Night astronomy app.

Where I live, Kyodo (west side of Tokyo), is apparently well-known for its clear night sky and I can regularly see quite a few stars. Tonight, though, was simply amazing. I took the PowerBook outside and learned the name of a few more stars.
