Awestruck!
Just magnificent!
I’m awestruck. The clouds thinned out and the show went on. Absolutely beautiful. By 4:00am the sky was perfectly clear - in fact, unusually clear. I lost count of how many I saw very early on. There’s still the odd one or two coming through now, even though the eastern sky is quite light. Some of them burned red, some with a weird green glow. Couldn’t believe how fast they were. Shot a roll of film but all of the exposures were wild guesses so we’ll see. My hands are too cold to type. Time to curl up in the futon for a very content sleep.
It just remains to express my immense gratitude to the heavens for a stunning evening. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel.
