Killer Crocs Hamper Scientific Discoveries

From the Sydney Morning Herald:

Killer crocodiles lurking in north Queensland rivers are stopping scientists from fully documenting the unique animals of the Gulf of Carpentaria.

Zoologist Arthur White believes several unknown species of fish, reptiles and turtles exist in the remote river systems of the gulf.

But researchers can’t investigate the area properly because of the risks of being mauled by saltwater crocodiles.

I understand not wanting to go in there when there are man eating crocs around.
