World AIDS Day
I have to admit to being ambivalent about World [Something] Days; they’re gone in 24 hours but the problem remains. Hopefully, of course, awareness is raised and donations increase. I certainly hope that’s the case today. Just a couple of links:

The BBC has a page with some shocking numbers from various regions around the world. Read these as a call to action, not a sign of futility.
