Finished The Ice Storm by Rick Moody last night and just went on a Moody buying spree at Powell’s. Took me a while to warm up to the style but by the end I was completely hooked. Apparently there’s a movie of the book directed by Ang Lee, but I’m not sure if I’ll track it down. Or maybe I will, just for Joan Allen (who would have to play Elena Hood because I just can’t see her in the Janey Williams role - that would be Sigourney Weaver).

I saw the movie first, which I enjoyed, and then tried to read the book, which I couldn’t get into. If you see the movie, I’d be curious what you think.

The film is fantastic. Highly recommended.
