At home today trying to shake The Cold That Just Won’t Leave. I’ve been cold-free the last couple of years but the recent change in working conditions, schedule, exercise routine (i.e., none) and stress levels have apparently left me wide open for a hostile takeover.
Cold season comes around towards the end of winter and each year’s variations on the standard bugs and viruses gets me thinking about that H. G. Wells story The War of the Worlds where the aliens are done in by colds, their excessively runny alien noses heralding their doom. Only of course in real life the aliens are us.
There’s a cheery thought for you.
