More on MacWorld

Here’s the now-obligatory MacWorld perspective shot of a row of computers lined up on a backlit display. I’m not sure why Apple chooses to keep showing its products this way; it looks impressive at first glance but the flourescent lighting of the display is really irritating after about 15 seconds and actually makes it difficult to see the LCD screens properly!
I wanted to play with (er, I mean examine) the new 23-inch HD display, but it was impossible to get a good feeling for the colour reproduction while it was being lit from below by the stupid display stand.

Here here! For the few times I’ve wished for a cell phone, most of the time if I really need to make a call, there’s a real phone somewhere - a store, a payphone etc. Geesh. Sometimes I think someone is talking to ME and instead they’re talking to their phone. This mismatch is magnified now that you can’t talk on a cell phone and drive unless you’re using a headset or voice-activated. So people now walk around with their headsets on. Is that just too cool or what?
How bleeding self-important is that? Can’t be out of touch cuz I’m way too important.
Sorry. Stepping off soapbox now.
