One More iMac Pic

One more iMac pic. They looked so cute sitting there together. This was taken at the Oki booth which was showing some excellent printers and a colour matching system based on ColorSync.

The show was even smaller than last year in terms of size and exhibitors, but there seemed to be much more going as regards actual technology. There’s a lot of serious 3D software being ported to X which was eciting to see. Helps that OS X is now out of diapers and ready to be taken seriously, of course.

Local Mac guru Joel Breckinridge is filing his usual MWT reports on MacInTouch and, also as usual, they’re the best way to get a good rundown of the show: http://www.macintouch.com/mwtokyo2002.html

Now I know where iMacs go on vacation! They look so tidy and organized. I imagined “iMacs on parade!”

And I was SO proud last night when the new iMac ad came on during the Oscars!

There were what seemed like hundreds of new iMacs. Everywhere you looked, new iMac. No wonder there’s a shortage; they were all at MWT.

Between the new iMac and the iPod, I’d say Apple can expect a reasonable rate of conversion of Windows users. I’ve never had so many PC-using friends quizzing me about Apple hardware and seriously contemplating the move. Time will tell how many of the actually do it, but the level of interest is quite something.
