An important step in regaining control over our lives. Hopefully other countries will follow suit. The Netherlands seems like just about the most civilised country in the world.
Euthanasia Legal, Landmark Dutch Law Enters Force

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Euthanasia became legal in the Netherlands Monday, the first country to permit mercy killing for the hopelessly ill who are desperate to die.
The Dutch parliament sparked worldwide controversy last April when it voted to enshrine in law a practice the Netherlands had tolerated for two decades.

I just can’t understand it. Surely at some point self-preservation instincts must kick in and you start making slightly more rational decisions…?
Yet to see any evidence of this, however.
