Ikeya-Zhang

Went outside with Jun tonight to the top of an apartment block near our house to try to see Ikeya-Zhang, but no luck

Despite a clear sky overhead, the north-west horizon was too hazy. The comet’s quite low in the sky just after sunset, setting at about 20:05 here. It rises at 02:10 (between 03:30 and 04:30 it might have enough altitude to be visible; after 04:30 the brightening sky might make it hard to see). Not sure whether I’ll muster myself for a morning attempt, but I saw Halley’s comet and I saw Hale-Bopp so I’d hate to let this one get by.
