Deep Throat to be Revealed: No Word on Pricing
Was it Haig? Kissinger? Someone from the CIA? James Mann, who worked with Carl Bernstein at The Washington Post, seems to think it was someone from the FBI. On June 17, apparently, we will know.
Salon.com | Unmasking Deep Throat
Now, on the 30th anniversary of the June 17, 1972, Watergate break-in, John Dean and Salon.com will unmask the real Deep Throat.
Dean, the former White House counsel to Richard Nixon whose testimony during the Watergate hearings broke through the administration’s stonewalling and led to its downfall, will name Deep Throat – and outline the research and recollections that support his conclusion – in an exclusive e-book that Salon will offer for sale on our Web site beginning June 17.
Lisa Todorovich has written that only four people on the planet are known to have the name (Bob Woodward, Carl Bernstein, Ben Bradlee, and Deep Throat himself), so Dean may have to do some smooth talking to be convincing. Who knows? Maybe he has the goods.
