Oops! Missed Mothers’ Day (again)
I knew I’d goofed yet again when I received e-mail from my mum just now, subject line: “Interesting Australian Custom.” Her letter in full:
I find your web page very informative Jeremy, but was wondering if you were aware that the second Sunday in May is MOTHER’S DAY in Australia.
Looks like a damage control call is in order this evening. Mothers’ Day is on a different day here in Japan (I think… hell, who can remember?), hence my confusion. Honest. Happens every year.

If your like me you always innocently forget mothers day, fathers day and all the important birthdays Those good intentions just never seem to come to fruition. Why not do everything all at once at http://www.postit4u.com.au/index.php?Dept=Cards&Category=Mothers%20Day for busy blokes. Lots of mothers day cards and you can upload a pic of yourself. Enjoy!!

A mother’s point of view. Every time you “forget” mother’s day - your forgetting that you did not raise, feed, clothe, and educate yourself. In short your forgetting everything your mother did do for you. It’s an insult to your mother, and you have no idea what pain you are giving to the one person in your life- that does truly give a damn about what happens to you. This is the truth. It’s just a fact. Nothing more - nothing less.
