A Gentle Reminder

Scroll all the way to the bottom of this page and you can see a somewhat less obtrusive rendition of this symbol. It appears next to the year Antipixel began publication and my name. It’s meaning may bear some reiteration: this is my site and you must not rip it off. The design of the site (including the style sheets which cause the design to be rendered), the words, and the graphics are mine. The work of others is quoted or attributed accordingly so there is no mixing things up.

The design of this site is not a ‘theme’ or a ‘skin’ you can take and apply elsewhere. If you want to borrow something, write to me and let’s talk. I’m really a nice guy when things are gone about the right way.

Why anyone would copy the contents of this site is beyond me……but if they did, bleating on about your copyrighted material when on subsequent pages you allow pages on how to beat cd protected (copyrighted) material, I don’t think you could do a fucking thing to stop them….

PRICK — I’m not sure why anyone would copy the contents of this site either, but they do. There you go. Some strange people in the world. I have no problem whatsoever with any ‘fair use’ appropriation of anything I do, but wholesale ripping off sucks — as would denying any ‘fair use’ of the material.

Now as for the CD post, look at what’s happening. Music customers (I am one: I pay for my music) are being denied through “protection” mechanisms certain rights such as the ability to make back-up copies of the material.

I’m not advocating stealing music, PRICK, I’m bemoaning the erosion of customers’ traditional rights to their purchases.
