Oh, the humanity, indeed. If you ever discover a bottle, do not fail to secure it! Contact me at once and name your price. Sentimental reasons only, you understand – it’s not worth drinking. ;-)

The meal, by the way, was crayfish. Here they are (just now off the boat and delivered) being drowned in fresh water on Christmas morning:

You might want to check out SilverKeeper which is a free backing up software from Lacie - works in OS X, works with many external devices (not just Lacie) - I haven’t had much time to play with it but it seems pretty nice for free. http://www.silverkeeper.com

Locally I’ve been using Chronosync, which does a great job of backing up shuttling files around to various external hard drives and removable media. I’ve created a bunch of ‘backup scripts’ for particular tasks and placed aliases to them in the Apple menu.

I’ve turned off the automatic export of the MT database with each post as it just seems too slow when posting comments and rebuilding indices. I doubt it’s really necessary for me to go so far with little ol’ Antipixel. Manual exports on a semi-regular basis ought to do.
