Noble Defeat
South Korea’s 0:1 loss to Germany last night was a noble loss. The team played a great game and really didn’t put a foot wrong. Ballack took a shot at goal which was knocked out by Lee, but the deflection came straight back at him and he was able to kick it past Lee who was still on the ground. A lucky goal well played.
Germany certainly had to work for their victory (to the point where Ballack disqualified himself from the final for committing a tactical foul to prevent a Korean goal). The Koreans should be extremely proud of what was an amazing performance throughout their entire tournament.
