You’ve probably already seen this because I got the link off the Daypop Top 40, but it’s worth a mention just in case:

Medical scans found that instrumentalists and singers have 130 per cent more grey matter in a particular part of their brains compared with those who are unable to play a note.
The article does archly mention an immediate question I had: how to account for all those dumb musicians out there:
But it does raise questions about some others who have made music their profession, such as Liam Gallagher and Ozzy Osbourne.

Just search “milk bath” and Google will show you that milk beauty treatments not an Japanese oddity. (Although I think there is a kao-cow connection, else why not call it milk soap.) Apparently the lactic acid in milk acts contains alpha hydroxy acid.
I think the most famous Japanese “natural” beauty treatment is uguisu no fun (bush warbler/nightingale droppings). It’s a dry powder that you make into a paste for a facial. Of course, I tried it.

To whoever was slagging of Liam Gallagher by basically saying he’s thick as pig shit like Ozzie Osbourne - Liam Gallagher has an IQ of 164 - fact! So shove that up yer arse!

His SIGMA is 164 (Goethe’s sigma = 180) but his IQ is indeed exceptionally high: 143. 130 means you’re highly gifted. Fact: The man’s a genius he just never got the chance to learn to ‘rephrase’ himself so that we can understand him. Fact: something ‘s seriously wrong with the educational system in the state of Britain…
