Hormone food scandal rocks Europe
Debora MacKenzie, New ScientistScientists are meeting in Brussels on Tuesday to try and resolve Europe’s latest food scandal: illegal steroid hormones in animal feed, meat and even soft drinks. The contamination may involve eight of the 15 European Union countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Spain.
Before the meeting began, the European Commissioner for health and consumer protection, David Byrne, blamed the incident on “fraudulent exchange and disposal of pharmaceutical waste”, and pledged new controls on animal feed.
The first signs of trouble emerged in early July on Dutch pig farms with a wave of infertility among sows. Tests of the pigs’ feed revealed medroxy progesterone acetate (MPA), a synthetic progesterone that can cause infertility.
MPA is a widely-used ingredient in human birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy. It is also used as a growth promoter for livestock in North America and Australia. But hormonal growth promoters are illegal in the EU.

I won’t go until detail here… but this story is being blown out of context, quite frankly.
John Cage doesn’t believe in silence… there is no way he (if still alive) would have sued over this. What has happened is that Mike Batt gave John Cage a credit to a song on his album - Cage’s lawyers are merely going to tell Mike that Cage in no way co-wrote or produced this song and that he shouldn’t have given Cage credit… he should’ve written “Inspired by Cage” - true this is a really a waste of money and time… but they are not going to sue over silence… My blog has a little more detail for those interested.

hello, but the credit “Batt/Cage” does NOT refer to John Cage, but a pen name that Batt claims to use sometimes. If anybody has any valid information on this case, please send me links as I am compiling a copyright infringement archive.

I posted a rant on this topic that may or may not interest you. The inhumanity of humanity is truly unchecked, VHEMT and other like-minded organizations are taken more seriously by some than most would expect.
