Existential Milk

Albert Camus (at least I think it was Camus) said that a man’s life is nothing more than the search to recover the one or two great images of his childhood. Existential underachiever that I am, I found one of mine the other day in the supermarket.

Angler Milk (on sale for half price; I can’t afford it otherwise) in the big glass bottle comes with a giant clot of cream floating on top – just like the milk we used to get when I was a kid. Mmmm… cream.

I’m not sure this is what Camus had in mind. I suspect that if I’d actually ever read any Proust, I might be able to identify this as more of a mere madeleine-moment rather than a full-on one-or-two-great-images-of-childhood experience (although Proust by all reports got excellent mileage out of his madeleines). The one thing I can say with certainty is that Angler milk is bloody good.

Nice site. Maybe u will find this out interesting http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/mahler “Mahler: The Man Who Was Never Born is a play which utilizes Goethe’s concept of The Faustian Bargain. It is a term that I’ve coined to indicate an imagined, unearned gain in exchange for one’s soul - a barter where-in the recipent is the looser. It is the relinquishing of one’s judgement and life and when he places himself in the power of another. One does not get a “free lunch.”“-From the Author

The Prisoner of Zenda or Guantanimo Hiatus, On being an authentic guru or a skilled shyster: I used to believe in the truth till if found out what it was. Back in the beginning everything was so much simpler, back when there were genuine gurus and water to wine was easy.

Vulcans Unite under one Flag Condoleezza Rice and Martha Stewart http://scari.org/irreverent_Irreverence.html “Let them fall on their swords, or clap them in stocks ?? a good dunking would get at the truth. The scriptures have warned of false prophets, they will see what Hellfire and Damn-nation does to evil doers” Jerry Fallwell

Well, at last there is hope for Vulcans, Prolapse Therapy, a new approach to character bahavior modification. http://scari.org/stuffandthings.html

Condoleezza Rice and Martha Stewart conversing on the alternatives available. Rather than spend the dime and turmoil of punishment in the traditional Western sense, an Eastern approach may be the most efficacious. To fall on one’s sword would be efficient and save much in the way of print and hand-wringing. Better yet if Martha Stewart and Condoleezza Rice fell on eath others noses before they grow any longer would seem the more pragmatic solution.
