As the number of mobile phone antennae skyrockets, it’s somewhat heartening to see that some places are trying to avoid the irreparable mistake we made with overhead power lines.

How mobile phone masts ‘vanish’
Mark Ward, BBC News

Some mobile phone operators are going to extraordinary lengths to conceal the masts that form their networks.

Should we be worried by this development? I believe so.

If they can disguise mobile phone attenae as well as they claim, then what does that mean for surveillance? I can already feel Big Brother looking over my shoulder.
