Kissinger is Doing What!?

I’ll say this for the Bush administration, it has undeniably the best sense of humour of any administration ever. Things like this effectively position it beyond parody, out of reach of satire.
This quote from Bush is priceless:
He called on Dr Kissinger as chairman of the commission to “follow all the facts wherever they lead”.
Well, yes. There are quite a few people in various parts of the world familiar with Kissinger who have been after the same thing for some time.

I’m not sure about sense of humour, but it sure has a knack for knocking me speechless. Are they hoping that Mr. Kissinger will kick off before the investigation is complete? Are there no younger people able to do a blessed thing worth doing?

Or, to loosely quote the British comedy, “Yes, Minister” “It’s important when setting up an enquiry to appoint someone who already knows the correct answer.”
