Well, I’ve exhausted the local video store’s supply of The Sopranos. They only had the first season. Best line:

Too bad you don’t get Netflix in Japan. Season 2 is on DVD now. Season three (which just ended) is very differentthan teh first two.

You can buy seasons 1 to 3 on DVD. I order them from Amazon as soon as they are available. I have to admit, I’m addicted. In my experience, things I order from Amazon that are in stock currently take between 5 and 10 days to arrive. The cost of shipping is pretty good to. Here’s a tip for you, if you want to save a little more cash, order from Amazon.ca. The prices are almost always better due to the exchange.

Can you get HBO on satellite in Japan? They are showing all the episodes from season four, twice a night in the next few weeks. Then the first three seasons leading up to season five. Set the VCR or TiVo.

You think you have it bad. Here in Australia, not only can you NOT buy season 2 yet, but they are repeating it instead of showing season 3!!!!
I feel so ripped off.
You go 9 months a year with no Sopranos, and then they repeat the same season they played last year.

I’m stuck same as you, with the series one at my local Tsutaya Club video store. However, I beg to differ on the best line - it was Pauly when someone suggested he had never been to France:

looking forward to seeing series two but not that much that I’d pay more than 200 yen a viewing!

Hey people, what the hell are you doing spending your hard earned cash at that shitty joint “Tsutaya”. People in the “know” get cable TV descramblers from Akihabara and watch cable tv for free!! Sopranos and Oz and whatever is all free for those indervisuals who can get off their asses and goto akihabara
