I wouldn’t normally post photographs of friends here without their permission, but in this case the fellow in question is absolutely unidentifiable – thanks to the Francis Bacon filter that my digital camera chose to apply to this shot.

Ha! It does look a bit like that.
The photo seems to have added about 20 years to him (he’s a good-looking guy in real life). What appears to be a row of teeth is actually the white lettering on a Leica rangefinder as he lowers it from his eye after taking a photo of me.
