It turns out that the construction that raged outside my window last week when the gutters on both sides of the street were replaced was just a prelude to the whole goddamned road being torn up and put back together again. The rain has brought some respite at least.
I noticed yesterday that the guy in charge of painting the temporary guide lines has left the street looking something like a Franz Kline exhibition.

Well, at least they were ‘kind’ enough to do it during the day. Over in Kamiuma they went at it night and day for six (not concecutive) days. Pubic (Make) Works projects…gotta love ‘em. Nothing wrong but they’ve got to use up their budgets or it’ll get smaller next year.
