White House Aid Quits…?
Just received e-mail from a friend:
White House aide quits over Iraqi museum issue.
Saw the ticker tape scrolling across the CNN screen but a quick look at their web site shows nothing yet. Don’t know who, etc.
Still nothing on the site (or elsewhere, that I can see).

Heard this a week or two ago. It was the advisor for arts or something—something we didn’t even know was a job. Basically he has no power and only in giving up that power gets noticed… Lame.

He’s not getting very noticed if no one even knows who it is. I’d probably do the same thing if I were in his shoes, but it all depends on circumstance…

I can only hope that he’s resigning out of protest of the Bush administration’s handling of the matter, and not because he bungled that which he was responsible for.
In my opinion, the Bush administration needs as many protest-resignations as it can get. If I had my druthers, Bush himself would resign out of protest of his administration.
Which, by the way, reminds me of this fantastic Bush vs. Bush debate staged by Jon Stewart. It’s in Real Audio and you have to let the damn Mastercard commercial play through before you get to the clip, but it’s pretty smart.

Patrick wrote to provide a link to the story (having trouble posting comments so it came via e-mail). Thank, Patrick.
SFGate.com carried a story by Carl Hartman, an AP writer.
