This one’s old — don’t know the origin of this. It’s made from a single piece of boxwood (the wood for combs, good mix of strength and workability with a smooth but not too-smooth hand to it) and, judging from the colour of the wood, was probably oiled repeatedly long ago (this is how you’re supposed to take care of them).

What a gorgeously-shaped object. These combs remind me of an exquisitely styled typeface, somehow.
