Most Depressing Book Cover
Comments: 6
Holy George-Bush-in-a-flight-suit! The Literary Saloon has found what may well be the most depressing book cover of the year. And depressing it is, as well as unintentionally hilarious.
No doubt, there’ll be those that argue this is a great way of tricking kids into taking a look at a great piece of literature …..
Spare us – and wake us up when the nightmare is over.
Better settle in for a nice long sleep. It seems there’s never been a better time for inadvertent self-parody.

oh my. Am I really so culturally inept that I can’t decide if this is for real or not? Did MTV really make a “hip” version of this much-loved-by-me book? oh my. Someone please put me out of my misery now. Or could we at least get a battery of high-end opera singers to do covers of some current hit tunes as fair play?

Well, well, well. That book cover is most interesting…I never thought that MTV would resort to such desperate methods for publicity.

I thought that Carmen - The Hip-Hopera was a joke too. But I was wrong. Oh dear God, I was wrong.
