The Joke and Its Relation to the BBC
Comments: 4
The BBC’s news page contained this amusing little juxtaposition today — a Bangladeshi policeman with a moon head. Reminded me of Magritte’s “The Art of Living” which, in a nice circularity, Penguin has used as the cover image for its new translation of Freud’s “The Joke and Its Relation to the Unconscious.”
(I wanted that first headline to say “Missing moon rock is returned to the moon.)

Well sported Sir, and I like the parallel too - very astute!

[duh] “sported” should have been “spotted” [/duh]

I wanted to see the headline: “Missing Moon Rock is Returned to Fat Bangladesh Police.”

Saw that on the BBC News frontpage this lunchtime, but didn’t make the connection. Well spotted, that man!
