I wonder if they're going to offer a Japanese version: I'd imagine that Joi would push for that.
As far as I know, there's no hosted weblogging service with a Japanese user interface yet, so this could really take off. No?

Well, blogger pro is free now. I think Six Apart will have a lot of difficult to convince new users to pay for their beauty…

I'm sure there will be a Japanese version, and I'm sure it is already well underway. The flurry of Joi Ito hires around the time of Typepad's announcement makes it pretty obvious. (That and a couple of sources near the company have told me so)
