Prada Tokyo
Comments: 6
I saw the Prada Tokyo building for the first time last night and came away a convert — not to Prada (I’m every bit as suspicious of high-priced clothing as I ever was) but certainly to the work of Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron, the architects. It’s quite an astonishing building, and something of an engineering feat in earthquake-prone Tokyo I would guess.
I took a couple of photographs but they were pretty ordinary, so let me point you to a couple of beautiful shots by Nadine Zukowski: the building at dusk and under construction

It looks like it is made out of glass bricks. I like it!
Should this be in the ‘Architecture’ category? Not to be too picky, but I often like to browse your posts categorically - would hate to miss this gem.
