Simulated office building

Not much to say about this one — I just liked the geometry. The light was also of a sort that made the building appear to be computer-generated, an idea of faded ’70s business glamour rendered through modern means.

I just wanted to say hello. I lived in Japan for 10 years, but now live in the States…where I was reminiscing about the song I’d heard in my neighborhood from the sweet potato man.
I happened upon your site after Googling “yaki imo~”! Your site is very impressive, especially your colophon, which, I agree, there aren’t enough of these days :) I’m sure I’ll write now and again in appreciation of your blogs!! And this building reminds me of a hospital near Chinatown in Yokohama ;) Odaiji ni ne! TD yori

Oh, wow… That really does look computer-generated! I’ve seen a few photos with that effect, and it’s always so surreal!

Hi Jeremy,

please could you tell me the location of that building? Thanks.

The building is on Naka-dori opposite the Marunouchi Building (on the west side). I’m almost certain it’s the building that has the Tomorrowland clothing store on the ground floor.

Looking at the picture, Naka-dori runs to the right. If you walked off to the left, you’d come to Tokyo Station.

Does this make sense?

Yes, thanks. Will have look at it on the comming weekend!
