Another view to Komazawa

I hate to repeat a picture (I took this one back in October and wasn’t going to post it) but I realised why I’m so captivated by this view I discovered nearby: it reminds me of the paintings of Jeffrey Smart.
I haven’t tested for the presence of φ (phi — the Golden Section) in the photographs I took and wouldn’t dare to compare them so literally to Smart’s work, which I’ve loved ever since seeing Cahill Expressway used on the cover of an early collection of Peter Carey stories, but a similar geometrical appeal is at work as well as that flattened acrylic look that a low sun, a long lens and loveless architecture can provide.

Absolutely - very J. Smart… saw his retrospective a few years ago, fantastic stuff…

How odd, I, too, like this photo, Jeremy, and of course very JS. I just came back to this image tonight, and this is where the odd comes in, someone with the same first name posted, more or less, as I had planned. Such a small world on some days.

When I first saw it, I thought it was a computer generated 3D graphic! Very nice, by the way.

Jeremy,
if you closer to your pictures, you will see, that they have, how to say, the same ‘mood’ and also mostly the same color tone. I was wondering if has something to do with your camera?
