Leaf Shadow

I’m showing you pictures of leaves until I think of something interesting to say. Bear with me.
This is one my daughter and I found last autumn. I don’t know what kind of leaf it is, but its idea of dying back for the autumn was to turn into an incredibly intricate piece of lace.

That’s a nice photo. I always love those lacy-looking leaves, and the light going through creates a very interesting shadow.
As an aside, it’s “bear with me” like you might bear a burden. Unless of course, you meant that the leaf was naked just as you were when posting the entry - in which case, bravo, nice use of a homophone. :)

A little surreal, and very lovely. Nature is astounding. No designer can match its work.

I originally wrote just that, looked at it, and changed it. I’m doing this an awful lot lately with both spelling and phrasing. Time for a CAT scan.

Nice photo and a very nice blog! I really enjoy reading/looking at it every day.
And you’ve changed your background-image again, is there somewhere a collection of all of them?
Greetings from Switzerland (with the snowy mountains and the cheesy chocolate ;-) )!

I have recently become obsessed with photographic decaying plants and flowers, and it is amazing the colours and textures you can see. Have a look at http://www.method-photo.co.uk/decay/ and http://www.method-photo.co.uk/arps/ for some examples

Andreas —- Greetings to you, too. There’s no way to see all of the header graphics at the moment. Maybe one day. I’m having to repeat them at the moment because I don’t have time to make new ones.
Richard —- Thanks for those links. You’ve got some wonderful pictures there (Whorls is just amazing).

You know, it might actually be the insects’ idea of how to deal with leaves in the autumn. That makes it no less an interesting picture, though.
