DCROSS

Mitsubishi Electric opened a café on the ground floor of their building in Marunouchi right on Naka-dori opposite the Maru Building. They do a bunch of stuff there that’s worth checking out if you’re ever in the neighbourhood: events, live music, screening short films on one of the huge monitors that Mitsubishi Electric makes.
They also do great sandwiches* and have some extremely comfortable chairs in which you can sit and eat them.
Why am I telling you this? Because DCROSS (pronounced Dee Cross) now has an English-language web site to which I contributed most of the photography. Take a look if you like and send some clicks their way. It was really a fun project to do and everyone I met there was a real pleasure to work with.
* I’ve paid for every sandwich I’ve eaten there myself, so I tell you this out of my own pocket! I was shouted a beer or two though. ;-)

Very impressive work! The site probably wouldn’t be very appealing if it wasn’t for the photography! ;)

I have to ask. What does “I was shouted a beer or two” mean? Is this some sort of colloquialism that I, being the ignorant American that I am, am not familiar with?
Just wondering…

Chris —- Apologies for taking my sweet time answering your question. Being shouted something is being treated; i.e., someone else pays. In Australia (and probably other places) it’s customary when drinking with friends for each person to by a round for the group rather than everyone buying their own drinks separately.
“It’s Fred’s shout” means it’s Fred’s turn to by drinks for the group.
