“Profits Pending” - book on gene patents

I mentioned a story on gene patents some time ago. Matthew Albright wrote a book called “Profits Pending” (Amazon’s page for the book).

The search for knowledge is a noble goal. Science is a human endeavor that should be encouraged. But the issue of life patents is not the same as science. Patenting is about property rights. As property rights, the public good must be considered.

The book has a foreword by a favourite writer of mine, Bill McKibben.
