Titigation

It’s America, so someone has to sue and, like clockwork, here comes the lawsuit.

Jackson sued for showing her breast
Frank O’Donnell, The Scotsman

AN AMERICAN woman has filed a lawsuit demanding billions of dollars in compensation for “serious injury” suffered when Janet Jackson exposed her breast at the Super Bowl.

[…]

“As a direct and proximate result of the broadcast of the acts, [Ms Carlin] and millions of others saw the acts and were caused to suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury,” the lawsuit states.

The injuries suffered by Ms Carlin are not specified.

It would be hard to make this sort of thing up.

I could care less about the nip slip. Hey, it was MTV sponsored and Ms. Janet needs some much-needed hype. It was bound to happen. Why are we so pent up? But this stupid woman…ya just knew somebody, somewhere, with a low intellect, would sue just for the halibut.

Honestly, I’m surprised it took this long for the lawsuit. Anyone up for spilling some hot coffee?

While I am a little offended by what she did onstage in front of millions, including millions of minors, a lawsuit is just ridiculous. That woman didn’t suffer any injuries, and we all know it. If anything, she should be fined for taking up a frivolous lawsuit, which we taxpayers have to make up for.

Of course, the woman did not suffer any injuries and we all know it. Either she is trying to make a statement or get some money out of it. But this is AMERICA you know, where such things happen. Janet pierces her breast and someone else claims serious injury!

Kudos go to Janet for drawing attention to her new album and away from real atrocities like Dubya invasion of Iraq.
