Sunlight on the Tokyo Mosque

A while back I visited the Tokyo Mosque just before sunset. I pass it on the train regularly and am always struck by the way the sandstone (is it sandstone?) and its chalky blue domes catch the late-afternoon light.
I have to figure out a way to get on top of a nearby apartment building before I can photograph the domes (you get a great view from the train because the tracks are elevated), but the sandstone and late-winter sunlight is easy enough to get to.

Ozma of Oz had a whole wardrobe of interchangable heads. I think that’s a clever plan—much better than a closet full of clothes. An Antipixel model would certainly be among my head collection.

We spent sometime looking for the Mosque on route to Shinjuku (or was it Shibuya?) last year, sad to say we couldn’t find it. Hope you get to take some more pictures.

The mosque is in Yoyogi-Uehara on the Odakyu & Chiyoda lines. It’s on the north side of the tracks on the far side of the station to Shinjuku: train-wise you only get to see it from the Odakyu or Tama express.

@Tov : Of course Islam=The World’s Most Dangerous Religion ( for most of west publics ), If Islam expanded to the over of the world, then, West culture will be thrown to the corner of the life. Because islam is anti capitalism, anti free-sex, anti adultery, anti alcohol ( i mean alcohol to be drunk ), anti rape, anti pornography, anti gambling and anti racialism. So… is this which be called as The World’s Most Dangerous Religion ???????

An update to my comment above. Last year we were fortunate to be in Tokyo again, this time we found the mosque and took a few photos. Much less captivating than yours JH :)
