Woman on the train

Her eyebrows arching towards the bridge of her nose like the wings of a raven in flight.

Your photos made me wonder about the weather conditions in the Tokyo area. Seems almost too good to be true! Living in the Netherlands, ‘dull, flat light and [the] rain’ type of conditions from the previous post are an almost everyday reality. However, this weekend looks promising…

Speaking in Spanish to her husband sitting next to her, I noticed paint under both of their fingernails. She was dressed in a beautiful Mexican dress. He was in oil-stained dungarees.
I couldn’t understand a word they were saying but the look in her eyes said it all.

reminds me of 253 by Geoff Ryman - a book that describes the characters, thoughts and events that take place simultaniously on a journey between two stops on a london tube on morning. A fascinating book, particularly if you’re out of the habit of reading novels as I was when I picked it up.

Nostalgia! Had all three in my life. And all on the same day! Yoko, Tokyo and a raven in flight!
