Solstice sans sun
Comments: 1
A typhoon crossing over the west of the country meant we didn’t see the sun at all today, making for a disappointing solstice. Bank after bank of low cloud scudded through all day — raced through at the rate of knots more precisely — but just after sunset they turned a curious purple, lit from above I’m guessing by the last rays of the sun reflecting off higher level cloud.

hello! This is my first time to send the message. I got to know your blog at the peel’s blog. The photographs of tokyo are very beautiful. My blog is all written in japanese language. But now i’m planning to translate the short sentences into engligh. It was very hot yesterday after the typhoon. I didn’t see the curious purple clouds but can imagine it after reading your sentences. I’m japanese, so now i’m very sory for my poor english ability.
