Another picture from Gotokuji yesterday. Recent high winds may have blown this maneki-neko from its resting place, and now it rests in pieces.

This maneki-neko noggin looks like the heads of mice and voles my cat used to leave on my doorstep. Perhaps it wasn’t the wind that caused this statuary tragedy, but a large mouse avenging its brethren…
