Hello there and welcome back. Where were you all? ;-)
It seems my hosting company had some trouble with their primary and secondary domain name servers. However – and this is so typical of them — contingency plans were in place and the third DNS came to the rescue. Just not for me, because I had neglected to enter it in my settings.
I know what you’re thinking: how can one so handsome and charismatic be so dumb? I’m telling you folks, it’s not easy. I work long and hard at this.
So the downtime was my own damned fault but, due to SegPub’s usual above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty attention, Antipixel’s back — and sooner than it deserves to be.
Gloria in excelsior machina.

I echo your thoughts on Segpub, best hosting company ever!
And yes, missing dns3 was quite silly :p

Hi, if the third nameserver is (and it should) in a different datacenter/server/ip range, and you used it in your domain, they would have to keep your site updated in both servers. For the domain could pick any of the nameservers setup and if it uses the 3rd and the site is not on the other server, it would be an issue.
