The vanished: breaking the extinction taboo
Alex Steffen proposes a strange and beautiful idea to raise awareness of the number and variety of species that have become, or are about to become, extinct.
I’m not sure it would take off, but the concept is strong: that we do something whose permanence in our own life mirrors, in a small way, the permanence of extinction in Life as a whole.
