When I’m King of the World — hosannah in the highest — Starbucks will give you a double shot of the whisky of your choice when you go in there in the middle of the afternoon looking like crap.
(I asked for one today but the woman behind the counter just laughed nervously.)

i live in seattle, and i was thinking something along those lines the other day. what if we took all the barrista carts, and all the starbucks et al. and turned them into 24 hours bars that worked exactly like their former coffee selves? wouldn’t that be something.

Double shot could be difficult to handle in the morning and, in fact, it could be detrimental to you actually realizing that you are having a crappy day … hmm, that could be a good thing though. Lets say Baileys in the morning and Whiskey in the afternoon?

heh… i made a similar comment once in kickboxing class. (instructor kept pushing us, and said something about water - i opined that whisky might be nicer. she was not amused.) why no sense of humor, i wonder? ;)
