Some legitimate comments are getting held up from being posted because in my over-enthusiastic way of dealing with comment spam I … deleted them (quite accidentally — I just kept hitting the delete key as wave after wave of viagra and car rentals scrolled by). I’ll need to reconstruct them from the e-mail notifications when I get a moment. If you’re wondering why your comment hasn’t appeared yet, it’s simply because I’m a bleary-eyed idiot.

I got rid of all MovableType comment spam problems by following some of the steps here:

Tip 5 is the best and also a easy change. When I look through my logs I see spam robots stopped all the time because of it.
