Just caught a gimpse on television of a show in which two figure skaters competed to see who could wrap the longest length of toilet paper around herself while spinning. The winner, a Swiss woman (who spoke pretty good, if somewhat Shibuya-girlish, Japanese) managed in excess of 70 metres. For this I think she gets into the Guinness Book of Records.
I found myself wondering who holds the record for the stupidest record. I don’t have a copy of the Guinness Book, so I can’t look it up (and I doubt it’s a category, although it certainly should be).

Thank God I did not see that! I would probably have shattered my TV screen into a million pieces.
Let me share with you something I know, but you need to get the specs from other people. There is a listing somewhere in the Net of establishments/small bookstores that give very discounted copies of the Guinness. You’d have to search it yourself though, I don’t know the URL’s.
I am fond of looking at gambling records in the Guinness Book. Maybe I’ll share some with you next time. A few are funny but not stupid like this toilet paper thing. (Maybe they got drowned in the toilet afterwards.)
