I stayed home from the office today because I caught something of a cold. Why should I go to the office and infect others when I can get things done here, in bed, PowerBook perched on pillow? Organisations everywhere ought to have work-from-bed days in place of casual Fridays. You get things done.
I’ve made it through the day so far almost solely on Nutella. I’m a heartbeat away from just digging the rest of it out of the jar with a spoon. I keep telling myself it’s good for me because it has hazelnuts in it and they’re a kind of vegetable — right? — and vegetables are good for you, (I wouldn’t know), but this might just be the sugar talking.
Nutella, yes, very good. I know there are others who feel the same way.

Jeeze I just peered at this in my RSS aggregator and thought you were saying you went the whole day on [using] Gnutella. Piqued my interest and then I get here and… yeah Nutella’s a nice spread.
It’s not THAT bad, eating it as a food, I mean its a lot better for you than a tub of chocolate cake frosting. Better quality ingredients all round, and of course, as you say, there’s the hazlenuts.

Heh. How about that, and I’m here having my dinner which consits soley of Nutella (and no, I don’t do this often).
Enjoy.

You’re not eating it with a spoon? How else can it be eaten?? Hope you’re feeling better soon.

You’ll find that some fine websites out there are powered by Nutella. Check the lower right corner here, for instance:

Nutella has saved my life on many occasions. Dig in!

No one ever lost any weight eating that stuff! :) I guess I’m in the minority on this one, but I just can’t stomach that stuff. It’s one step away from being chocolate cake frosting. But if it makes you feel better, I say go for it.

Ahh… I remember the first day my friend from germany introduced me to nutella here in the states, back in 95. Ate half the jar in one sitting. A year or two later, the local grocery store started carrying it.

In Italy they make pizza with Nutella, I haven’t tasted it and at first I didn’t even believe it. But I have seen it with my own eyes, two days ago. Who knows…

Heh. My wife and I have done the spoon-into-the-jar thing more than once…. we both laughed :)

My Latin teacher used to give it to us every year in high school. Why the Latin teacher you ask? She was also the German teacher. It’s kinda hard to find any authentic ancient Roman things, so anytime the German classes did/got anything cool we were in on it too. Score!

Nutella rulez ! my daughter was born a month ago, so my wife was in hospital for two weeks. with nobody to control my nutrition and an empty fridge, what should I eat anyway ? whats nicer than opening a fresh glass of Nutella, and digging in deeply with the spoon (or finger) ? the Nutella storage is empty now, I need new stuff…someday I really should learn some self-support tricks… ;-)

Here in Colorado, we smear one side of toasted bread with Nutella and smear a second piece of toast with peanut butter. When the highways close down during winter a human can survive on Nutella and peanut butter with Jack Daniels for 4 months easy. Hell, you can come out of it with better health. Conversation by month 2 is a little odd.
PeaNutella sandwiches rule! Colorado penicillin ;)

For those of you that are interested Nutella have a fantastic website but its in French (hours of fun with a french to english dictionary or alternatively just bribe a french Nutella-lover with jars of the stuff for a translation). They have a particularly good section on its history and a section on Nutella ‘dreams’ which is a competition to win your dream holiday as part of their 40th year celebrations- unfortunately you have to live in France to enter it. The address is www.reves-nutella.fr Maybe if we email them and tell them we love it too they might open the competition to other territories in the World….

Nutella, the greatest product on earth!!! Picture the scenario…; I’ve fallen asleep watching T.V, i’m woken by an annoyingly loud advert, I switch it off and head to bed, but wait…..I have an urge for something sweet. I head straight for the spoons, then the ceral cupboard, out it comes the paste of Gods!!! I’m usually half aspleep but i’m pretty sure that amount comsumed is two small taster bites then two massive spoonfulls, and then it goes back in the cupboard. I’m almost out of the kitchen and I’ve swallowed the last bit form my mouth and then………….one more spoonfull of course!!!!
