What’s “Meiji”?

On a different note, what’s the license on your “Make HTML-safe: convert” script? I haven’t seen it elsewhere, so I imagine it’s your own creation, right?

Well, WikiPedia notes it as the period between 1868 and 1912. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meiji_Era

Gabriel —- The character-to-entity is by Steve Minutillo. I wrote about it here, and you can find Steve’s page for it here.

“Public Domain”. Do anything you like with it! By the way, I noticed that the version of the script on my site has sufferred from bit rot and no longer works. I’ll fix it later today.
