One of the nice things about Ōhashi’s illustrations — at least the ones in this style — is how well he can create both a stylized, simplified drawing of something that’s also perfectly realistic at the same time.

It’s when I see work like this that I am struck (once more) by the thought that the availablity of graphics software on home pcs has bastardized the industry, leaving us open to the misconceived rubbish that “non-professionals” can now churn out. And many “professionals” as well for that matter…
