Japan’s plan to evict foreign ‘residents’
Scotsman.comA SCOTTISH diplomat who helped secure a historic treaty between Britain and Japan could be evicted from his resting place in a Tokyo cemetery amid plans to turn the burial ground into a park.
The Aoyama Cemetery is one of the city’s most prestigious and contains the graves of more than 100,000 Japanese including politicians and celebrities.
It also has an area dedicated to foreigners, with some graves going back to the 1870s.

Hello from barcelona, spain. When we celebrated the olympic games, we do it so close to cemetery. Just a few hundred meters!! You go to find peace and quiet, you find the stadium roar.
