We could almost be in … Narnia!
I hope this one satisfies the desire for a horizontal picture of a streetlamp (although I think it was really the umbrella Charles was interested in: sorry, Charles). Streetlamps, being tall skinny things, are not so easy to get into landscape orientation, but for what it’s worth, this picture tries.

Jeremy, both of those images are simply gorgeous - especially to someone who is about to throw himself into an airconditionless 1976 Toyota Corona that’s been sitting all day in 36 degree heat… I feel cooler already.
The blob on my cluster map from Tokyo has grown significantly since your post thanks, but still a long way behind the first place runner, Brisbane… go figure!

Yes, it was the person with the umbrella struggling through the snowstorm. But, as we say in The Netherlands: “It’s bad manners to look a given horse in the mouth”—I do like the serenity of the trees with just a hint of what’s going on in the glow of the streetlight.

Very nice. Not knowing that it’s a photo taken by you, one could very easily think that is a screen straight from the movie (or an illustration of the book).

That’s really pretty. What kind of trees are those? And also, how cold does it get in your area of Japan? (I might be moving to Japan in several months and I didn’t realize that they got so cold..)
